Couples seeking charm and character
We stayed for a night and let me tell you, the location was absolutely stunning set on a golf course and the staff were great. Food was really good too, just way too much lamb in that stew, left me stuffed.
Not exactly wallet-friendly but was still within reasonable limits.

gorgeous golf course setting, charming historic building, interesting decor
The shower pressure was frustratingly weak!!! the carpets looked worn and in desperate need of replacement – not a good look for any hotel. windows were surprisingly dirty, detracting from the overall experience!!!

We really enjoyed our one night stay, especially the delicious lamb casserole and the freshly cooked breakfast that started our day right. There were lovely spots in the garden and a cozy leisure room to unwind, which made our stay even better. The only small downside was the road with deep potholes on the way out, so just be cautious if you're in a low car. 😊

The room was basic but comfy enough. The garden view was nice, and the building itself is just beautiful. The en suite could've used a bit more cleaning, but with the price we paid, I can't really complain. Breakfast was a highlight in a lovely dining room, and the staff were super helpful.
